Hamzeh Shakib, the head of the Building Engineering System Organization, referring to the upcoming International Conference on Energy Optimization in Buildings and Related Industries next year, stated: "The main goal of this conference is to examine and derive operational solutions for optimizing energy consumption in the construction industry. We are not simply looking to read or present the latest articles from around the world at this conference."

According to the Public Relations of the Central Council of the Building Engineering System Organization, during the first session of the Policy Council of the International Conference on Energy Optimization in Buildings and Related Industries, Hamzeh Shakib mentioned that one of the main approaches of the Central Council of the Building Engineering System Organization in the current period is to enhance the skills of engineers in seven disciplines across various sectors of the construction industry. In line with this, conferences are being held across the country, addressing various topics such as retrofitting, performance-based building construction, collapse mechanisms, etc. Next week, a conference centered around the anniversary of the Plasco Building fire in Tehran will be held.

He added: "One of the most important focuses of these conferences is the issue of energy and its optimization in the construction industry. Most of the conferences we organize come with credit for professional development."

The official emphasized that energy is one of the key focuses of the Central Council of the Building Engineering System Organization, noting: "We have been and continue to be involved in examining energy consumption optimization in the building sector for years, and a resolution has indeed been achieved whereby the completion certificate for building construction is contingent upon adhering to energy efficiency ratings."

Shakib explained: "The main goal of this conference is to examine and derive operational solutions for optimizing energy consumption in the construction industry. It's not about just reading or presenting the latest global articles at this conference."

The head of the Building Engineering System Organization stated that while the overall responsibility for addressing energy optimization issues falls under the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the focus is on constructing green buildings and fully and maximally implementing Article 19 of the national building regulations. He requested engineers from seven groups to provide their practical suggestions and solutions in this area because, ultimately, it is this organization that is questioned regarding the implementation of energy consumption optimization in the construction sector. However, in this regard, we require the support and directive of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
