Nearly 40% of the country's final energy consumption is in the building sector. This share will be much higher considering energy consumption in construction-related industries, such as cement production. The first efforts in the direction of drafting laws and implementing the necessary solutions to optimize energy consumption in the country began in the late 60s with the announcement of the country's first development plan and have continued until now. In the last decade, with the increase of national and global concerns in the field of reducing energy consumption and moving towards the use of renewable energy sources, efforts to implement these solutions have accelerated. In this regard, the Engineering System Organization of Tehran province, according to its national mission, organized the first international conference on optimizing energy consumption in construction and related industries in November 2024. The conference includes meetings of scientific and industrial articles, keynote speeches, industrial training workshops and specialized exhibitions in fields related to the optimization of energy consumption in buildings and related industries. It is hoped that this conference will lead to exchange ideas and present the scientific and industrial achievements of professors, researchers, industrialists and specialists in this field. All professors, students and industrialists are hereby invited to this conference which will resulted to adding the richness of this conference by presenting scientific articles and their research and industrial achievements.
